By Public Bus (KSRTC)
The most budget-friendly option. Take a KSRTC bus from the East Fort (Kizhakkekotta) or Thampanoor bus stand heading towards Poovar or Vizhinjam. Ask the conductor to drop you at the Azhimala Temple junction. From the main road, it is a short, steep walk down to the temple.
By Taxi or Auto-Rickshaw
You can easily hire an auto-rickshaw or Uber/Ola from Kovalam or Trivandrum city. From Trivandrum center, the journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on city traffic.
Important Parking Advice
The Azhimala Temple Road branching off from the main highway down to the coastal cliff is incredibly narrow and steep. During weekends, holidays, and festival seasons, traffic jams on this specific road are severe. Local Tip: If you are visiting during a peak time or driving a large SUV/Traveller, it is highly recommended to park your vehicle on the wider roads near the top junction and walk down to the temple to avoid getting stuck.
